"I'm Too Much" Mug
"I'm Too Much" Mug
Whether it's said "jokingly" or not, it can still hurt. I'm too much? Too much what? Too much fun? Too smart? Too unwilling to be stepped on or overlooked? Too much to handle? If I'm too much for you, then go find less. I won't be the one losing out.
This mug is available in both right-handed and left-handed mugs (right-handed mugs have the words facing you when the handle is in your right hand; left-handed mugs have the words facing you when the handle is in your left hand). Please be sure to choose the correct one depending on your dominant hand and/or which way you'd like the words to face.
These mugs were glazed with non-toxic food-safe glazes, and are dishwasher safe. And while I have been known to put my own ceramics in the microwave, I don't officially recommend it -- the rapid change in temperature can cause the glaze to cool more quickly than the ceramic, which retains heat, and so shrinks at a slower rate. This can occasionally call what is called "crazing" (oddly enough this is both a defect, when the piece is functional, and a desired effect, when the piece is decorative, like a vase). Crazing is when the glaze cools faster than the ceramic piece, making small cracks in the glaze. This can happen immediately or even years later, and personally I've seen it happen on many of the commercial mugs I own that I put in the microwave often.

HaldeCraft began with ceramics, soap, and yarn. I've been making ceramics since I was four years old, learning at the feet of my grandmother who had a home studio in the 50s and 60s. Currently I make slip-cast, hand-built, or wheel-thrown pieces (or a combination of all three) and then are painted and glazed and put through multiple kiln firings before being put out into the world. The yarn started life in 2007 in a small yarn store in Gainesville, Florida (Hanks Yarn and Fiber) and was then called "Perhaps Today is a Good Day to Dye". It has continued online as HaldeCraft HandDyed since 2011, and is hand-dyed and lovingly re-skeined in a small home studio by someone who loves the fiber arts just as much as you do. Making soap was a hobby that I had for years, and I started making soap for the yarn store, and continued when starting HaldeCraft. Lately I've picked up laser engraving, taking my craft to a whole new level. My pieces are unique, hand painted, and proudly made in my own home studio with confidence, mindfulness, and joy. Everything at HaldeCraft is created by hand, by me, in order to joyfully connect with you!
